06.05.16 Bulgarian Air Force and Max Telecom implemented for the first time in our country live streaming of air participants in the military parade
For the first time in Bulgaria Internet users were able to watch live real-time video from the cabins of military aircraft and helicopters passing over Sofia part of the composition of the Bulgarian Air Force participating in the solemn military parade on the occasion of May 6th. The streaming done via Max’s 4G network attracted the attention of 5103 people who were watching with interest the unique for Bulgaria footage from the cabins of the military machines flying over Sofia’s city center.
People put themselves in the place of the pilots with direct overview and views from the flights over Sofia at low altitude and low speed. Users watched live footage from the cabins of helicopters with flagship Mi-17, who opened the parade with the national flag of the Republic of Bulgaria, followed by Bell 206, AS 532AL Cougar and AS 565MB Panther from the composition of the Navy. Additionally recorded footage of the training from the board of the jet figthers Su-25 and MiG-29, military transport aircrafts An-30 and C-27J "Spartan", training aircrafts L-39ZA Albatross and Pilatus PC-9M contributed to the more attractive experience for all people in front of their home and mobile devices.
The streaming presented the air demonstration from its very beginning, starting with the startup of machine’s engines, the taxiing, the takeoff, the waiting zone and the formation into groups of doubles and triples, the parade flight over Sofia’s center in a heading from East to West. The team of Bulgarian Air Force and Max used for this purpose six cameras mounted inside and on the outside suspensions of the helicopters and military aircraft. The signal was transmitted through special encoders connected with 4G devices for fast mobile Internet. For complete realism, viewers watched footage from two cameras grounded next to the military aircraft at Sofia airport and square “Knyaz Alexander Battenberg”.
